Christy Storke, W.R.Grace
W.R. Grace embarked on a Supply Chain initiative to drive increased business performance. At that time, they faced significant challenges in their supply chain, such as dealing with functional silos, lack of a standardized global design model, and inefficiencies in SAP utilization. To address these issues, Grace implemented a comprehensive supply chain transformation. By focusing on increasing the SAP utilization, educating the user teams, and optimizing the processes, they gained improvements in inventory projections, capacity utilization, optimized production planning, and improved data quality. As a result, Grace achieved significant improvements in service levels, inventory turnover, and operational efficiency. This presentation will detail the transformation process, the results achieved, and how these successes serve as a strong foundation for the company's move toward SAP S/4HANA.

Asset management and supply chain are often two worlds that rarely work together, yet they need each other in order to work. When companies are able to integrate asset management and supply chain in a seamless and integrated way, they see world-class results, such as inventories being the right size, mean time to repair (MTTR) improvements, spare parts availability improvements, and maintenance service level increases. We will focus on how to standardize, simplify, and stabilize the SAP processes and data flow to ensure alignment between the teams. Learn how to make MRP work effectively for both worlds while minimizing manual intervention, capacity planning, and scheduling and utilizing the SAP best practices.

Your organization is either planning to go to SAP S/4HANA soon or you have begun the journey. This talk takes a business look at your options on how best to prepare your organization for the SAP S/4HANA journey or how to make the most of your new SAP S/4HANA system and self-fund the efforts. How do we measure the success of an implementation? Is it when we know at go-live that the transactions work or is it when we know the users/managers know how to optimally run the business using SAP S/4HANA? What have we learned since the previous implementations back in the ‘90’s and 2000’s. Technology has moved on since then, but has human behavior, or process best practices or management techniques? This talk will help executives better understand the pitfalls, the opportunities and approaches to moving to SAP S/4HANA.

No waste left uncovered! In this session, we will explore five tools or techniques to discover hidden waste in the supply chain. So often we know that there is a problem, yet identification is elusive. We see some symptoms but not the root cause, and in treating those symptoms, we often introduce additional waste into the system. Let's identify, triage and bust some waste!

How can the most challenging, manual, and inefficient warehouse in a organizations network transform in one year. We will discuss the best practices, planning, prioritization, and strategies used from being a last to a world class WM warehouse. We will explore the correct balance of WM structural usage such as storage types, storage sections, bin types, and capacities that align to the material master. We will then hear about the impact and synergy this transformation created which not only resulted in transformed KPI's but carried on turning around the culture.
