On Saturday, May 4th, Reveal was given the opportunity to attend the annual Feed My Starving Children Gala. This was an amazing and humbling experience for everybody who participated. Before dinner, there were live auctions, cash-prize games, wine, and beer pull and many raffle packages. All of the money that was received at the gala went towards feeding starving children worldwide. If you are unfamiliar with Feed My Starving Children, they are a non-profit Christian organization who helps feed hungry children and families all around the world. FMSC volunteers pack hundreds and thousands of meals every day for the food to be then packed up and shipped to a location where children need food the most.
This organization solely receives their funds off of donations and packs their food with volunteers only. During dinner, we got to listen to Ryan Skoog of Venture inspire all of us by sharing stories of how hope is greater in Southeast Asia from the help of FMSC. We also got to listen to the CEO of FMSC, Mark Crea who shared the urgency that is happening in Cyclone Idai. These stories were eye-opening for a lot of the attendees at the event, and it was amazing to hear how many families FMSC has helped.
At the Hunger to Hope Gala, $700,000 was raised to provide nearly 3 million meals for children around the world! If you would like to donate to Feed My Starving Children click on the button below.Charity, Event, FMSC, Gala, Give Back, Reveal, Volunteer
