In the spirit of the season, Reveal would like to present the following nod to Robert L. May’s “Rudolph, the Red-Nosed Reindeer,” with a supply chain twist, of course:
You know Finance, and HR, and Sales, and IT
Marketing, and Legal, and Production, and R&D.
But do you recall
The most important business function of all?
Supply Chain, the most important function,
Has a very important role,
And if you ever worked in it,
You surely would say it’s so.
All the other functions
Curse and call it names.
They never understood how Supply Chain
Was so critical to their game.
Then their largest customer called,
And Sales came to say,
“When you run MRP tonight,
Trust the demand because it’s right!”
When all the requirements were met,
And the company closed Q2 with glee,
Everyone praised the Supply Chain and said,
“We are going to need even more help in Q3!”
All the best for happy holidays from your friends at Reveal!Tags: Supply chain, supply chain management
